Artistic Director, Choreographer
Krista began dancing at the age of two. She spent her early years studying all forms of dance and gymnastics, competing and student teaching. She also studied and performed theatre and voice. She attended Mercyhurst Ballet Conservatory after graduating from
Fredonia
High School. Krista earned a Bachelors degree in dance performance and choreography from the
State
University
College at Brockport where she was a member of the college’s two touring companies and worked for the dance department teaching dance to non major students. She spent several years performing with numerous Ballet, Modern and Afro-Caribbean dance companies as well as working as a guest artist. Krista was a featured performer at
Busch
Gardens
Tampa
Bay and has worked for Disney, the
Florida based modern dance company Gaudere Danza and several production companies. She has done commercials and industrials for Continental, Disney, MTV, Travel Agents International, Kodak, Busch Gardens and Visa to name a few. She has danced coast to coast, even performing in Hawaii, Guam, California, New York and
Florida. Krista spent several years as a featured performer aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2, MS Asuka, MS Sagafjord and the Royal Viking Sun Cruise Ships touring over 65 countries and working with Tommy Tune, Marvin Hemlisch, Bill Cosby, Patti LuPone, Marge Champion and several recent and former Broadway stars. Krista has taught at several colleges, private studios and has guest choreographed for many companies. Her choreography remains part of several working tours today. She has had the pleasure of operating Danza! Performing Arts Academy since 1995. Krista is also the director of Danza!'
s own student Performance Companies the Bella, Mini and Danzaco Dance Companies and the Little Danza! Divas. Krista resides in Fredonia with her husband Mark and their three children Jackson, Kyra and Mckenna.
